A Small Resolve on a Clear Morning

Morning sun seeps through the gap in the curtains. I open my eyes and the sky is, once again, uneventfully clear. At times like this, yesterday's fatigue feels as if it lifts lightly away. But then, glancing out the window, I see someone out for a morning jog. While I still haven't managed to get out of bed. The sun has already set everything in motion, and I feel a little sorry for not having started yet. So this morning I steady myself, starting with coffee. Watching the jogger, I resolve that I too will start jogging tomorrow. But will it be clear tomorrow?

Clear

On the morning subway, someone was reading a book instead of watching the scenery, and steam was rising from the tumbler beside them. Somehow that sight felt like a small anchor to hold me through the day.
