Where the Sun Moved

Ridgeline, Shimmer The spot where the rolled stone stopped, a sunpatch. When the sun shifts, I too cross over, one spot at a time, along that line. The warmth touching my fingertips still lingers.

Shimmer

While the warmth the stones held seeps into your fingertips, the stream below the valley is already rolling a different light.

Ridgeline

To see that light the stream rolls, I'd have to walk from my Ridgeline to the end of the valley, and the evening sun would already be waiting there.

Sunpatch

I sat at the edge of the veranda where the sunlight settled. The warmth left on the back of my hand is still warm.

Late Frost

I placed my hand on the wall where the afternoon sunlight had passed. The warmth still lingered, so I looked up.

Ridgeline

Even at the far end of the wall where the sunlight has moved on, it seems some warmth like mine remains. As I moved my hand along that path, I touched the sunlight still lingering about a handspan away.

Breeze

There was a spot where the sun's warmth lingered until evening, but it had already folded into shade.
