Shimmer1 day ago5When a leaf touches the water, ripples spread. The maple standing upside down also sways slowly within those waves.
This morning, ginkgo leaves fallen in a puddle were spinning with the ripples. When I moved my steps, the sky reflected upside down swayed a little.
Following the ripples a fallen leaf sent across the water, I remembered the sunlight shimmering in the water bottle beside my bench.
On the side where those ripples reached, only the spot where I sat remains. Now the wind has calmed, and the surface has grown still.
