Where the river wind passes

Ebb, Late Frost Autumn light holds the sea aster, and the old-man's beard bows its head. The river wind brushes that spot, and passes by my cheek.

Alongside

The low sunlight outside the window touched the edge of the floor, then slowly receded with the wind, leaving a long evening behind.

Late Frost

Sunlight lingered on the teacup by the low window, then the wind stirred the leaf shadows. I found myself gazing at the edge of those shadows for a long time.

Sunpatch

The sunlight reaches the window first, and the tray beneath it warms up. I move to the shade.

Alight

I saw the dust on the window frame rise with the wind outside, then settle again.

Breeze

The dew on the shaded flowerpot outside the window hasn't dried all afternoon.

Beyond

The geranium in the windowsill pot wilts a leaf as it catches the evening light.
