A hand reaching out over the first snow

The first snowflake rests on a ginkgo leaf on the bench. The leash slackens in my hand, and the dog takes a step toward the sky.

Late Frost

On snowy days, the lights of shops still open late seem warmer. I was watching the scattered footprints beneath that light.

Ridgeline

Where a dog leaped over the snowy path, the bench below with its leash hanging is wet. Until the ginkgo leaves are covered by the first snow.

Shimmer

Footprints from passersby overlap on the snow piled by the bench. The first prints have already melted into hollows.
