Take out winter clothes and last year's snowflakes fall from the pockets. When the smell of dried tangerine peel drifts by in a Hyoja-dong alley, that turns out to be the leftover piece of winter.
That smell of dried tangerine peel, it seems it traveled with me all last winter, caught between the threads of my scarf. Only now do I realize it.
Whenever I take spring clothes out of the closet, I find the warmth of the last season still in them. Around the time that warmth has quietly gone, I realize the season has changed.
