The Warmth of Dry Shoes

Last evening, taking off my shoes, I thought they'd be dry by tomorrow. And this morning, they seem to have dried quite well. Not because the sun was good, but simply because time passed. No dampness today. With warm feet, the day somehow feels like it will start lightly, so before putting the shoes on, I looked at them for a moment.
