The Warmth of a Cloudy Morning
Outside, the window is sunk in gray. On the road I set out on, neck hunched against a temperature lower than yesterday's, the smile a colleague gave me at the street corner becomes today's small comfort. Back home, as I sit at the table, my mother hands me a cup of lukewarm tea. Under a clouded sky, hearts checking on one another fill the morning with warmth.
Cloudy
A cloudy day was a fine day, too. Toward evening, looking at the lit apartments outside the window, I thought, I'm in there too.
